OVERVIEW
Innovate Calgary was born from a working title – specifically from a project that amalgamated two separate, non-competing technology incubators. Under the new identity, Innovate Calgary aimed to bridge the gap between discovery and innovation in Alberta’s advanced technology sector.
Reality Engine’s opportunity was in developing a new identity. A desired goal of building a brand larger and more compelling than those of Innovate Calgary’s legacy groups; Reality Engine was enlisted to develop the new group’s identity, positioning, and materials.
Working closely with Innovate Calgary’s internal teams, Reality Engine played a key role in the rollout of the brand and online experience, including the development of the main website, a robust intake system for registering IPs, key marketing materials, and videos. Collectively, these marketing and branded materials empowered Innovate Calgary to connect with all its key audiences and contributors: researchers, inventors, entrepreneurs, risk capital investors, among others.
The result was a brand that gained immediate public recognition as a new and more effective technology incubator that worked towards transforming promising technologies into successful businesses.
